Challenge your children to find a better deal on your energy bills. Find the contracts that can be renewed, encourage them to do research to find a deal that works for you (they can do that by price, environmental impact, performance or customer satisfaction). Get them started by showing them the main comparison sites. Writing up the best ones on a board can be great fun and rewarding if you offer them a share of the savings!

Once they’ve saved you some money on your energy bills, why not try broadband or phone bills next!
