Today’s activity is more of a conversation starter. With so much going on in the world and with so many in need, why not take the opportunity to talk to your kids about the idea of charity and giving back?
The activity: Choose a cause
Discuss some potential causes your child could support, and encourage them to choose one that matches their interests and matters to them. Then think of ways they could help, for example, donating old toys to a children’s hospital or giving money to a local animal refuge they might visit.
Take it further
If they decide they want to help a cause you could offer to donate some money to their favourite charity or to match any sum they raise.
