Today’s #StayAtHomeChallenge is more of a conversation starter. The idea of helping others and looking out for each other is more important than ever right now, so why not take the opportunity to talk to your kids about the idea of charity and giving back!
The activity: Choose a cause
Discuss some potential causes your child could support, and encourage them to choose one that matches their interests and matters to them. Then think of ways they could help, for example, donating old toys to a children’s hospital or giving money to a local animal refuge they might visit. Your weekly #ClapForCarers session could be a good way to start the conversation.
Take it further
If they decide they want to help a cause you could offer to donate some money to their favourite charity or to match any sum they raise.
Don’t forget: Prizes for sharing
Let us know how you get on, there’s prizes for sharing.
