We’ve given Savings Pots an upgrade

We know that for kids to get involved in anything, it needs to be engaging. So, to help your child do a little more when it comes to becoming super savers, we’ve made our Savings Pots easier for them to use, and easier to make it their own.

With Rooster kids saving an average of 9.5% of their earnings last year, we want to encourage even better saving habits and help shape it into something they do for life.

What’s changed?

We’ve simplified how to add a Savings Pot for your child, making it easier to understand and more fun to interact with. Rather than lots of options, they can now just choose a Savings Pot, and customise it:

Choose to set a Goal target, add a photo and choose their Pot colour, to really make it their own. A tracking ring will show around the photo when the Pot is created.

Their Savings Pots are even more interactive now. They can show the saved amount in the Pots to keep track of progress, or, for that little bit of motivation, flip their Pots to show the photo representing what they’re saving for.

You will also see these changes in the Parent side of your Rooster Money app, once you’ve updated the app to the latest version.

So give Goals a go. Encourage your child to set up a Savings Pot; whether it’s for a new games console, some holiday money, or even a pair of snazzy new trainers, a little more learning to save can go a long way.
