Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the month of Ramadan, a period of month-long fasting for Muslim families around the world. As Ramadan can be quite challenging for many Muslims, Eid al-Fitr is a reward for this, and a day of celebration with family and friends. Part of the celebrations includes Eidiyah or Eidi – a tradition where kids line up in front of each adult family member, who then give out money as gifts to the kids.
